La Crosse needs to build more than 200 new units of housing every year through 2030 to meet current demand. How will we get there?

In this conversation, local builders representing both for-profit and non-profit development will share their perspectives on the housing crisis and discuss what structural changes and innovations need to take place to build a more accessible, affordable community.

Speakers will share the creative models and technologies they are working on to meet the current and future needs of La Crosse residents. They will also discuss the impact of the City’s zoning code reform. Together, we will envision how an updated code will allow builders to more easily implement creative housing types, build missing middle housing, and get projects off the ground.
